Net Control Script

This is <Name>, <Callsign>, serving as Net control for the Greene County Virginia Amateur Radio Club’s weekly informal net. This net meets each Thursday day evening at 7:00PM, with the exception of the first Thursday of every month. We hold our club meeting the first Thursday of every month. Please visit GCVARC.NET for details and other club information. This net is open to all amateur radio operators in the coverage area.
Before beginning the net tonight, if there are any stations with emergency or priority traffic, please call now.
The purpose of this net is to provide the opportunity for club members, and other amateur radio operators, to exchange news, opinions, information and to check transceivers . All amateur radio operators are invited and encouraged to check into the net.
When checking into the net please announce your call sign slowly and phonetically followed by your name. We will now begin taking check-ins to the Greene County Virginia Amateur Radio club informal net. Are there any additional check-ins? Please call now.
Write down the name and call sign of each amateur, then verify the same. Call on each amateur in numerical order of check-in. Remember to identify every 10 minutes.
